A walk at sunrise

This morning I woke up early to go out at sunrise. There had been a frost and there was a thick fog with the sun beaming through.

It's peaceful, the only noise you hear is the sound of the birds and the crunching sound of your boots on the hard frosty ground.

The drumming echos of a woodpecker in the distance, the birds singing and calling to each other, Canadian geese flying overhead.

I reached a pool that I have recently discovered. I was surprised when I spotted a group of 18 wigeon there. I had never seen them before. They're come here for the winter. I stood watching them for a while before they flew off.

It sure was a beautiful sunrise walk.
